Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MeetVault ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users of MeetVault, including free and Pro subscribers.

MeetVault is developed by Crypton Studio ("we," "us," or "our"). Questions or concerns can be directed to support@cryptonstudio.app.

2. Description of Service

MeetVault is an AI-powered meeting memory application for Android that:

• Records meeting audio directly on your device using your microphone
• Transcribes speech to text using on-device ML Kit speech recognition
• Generates AI-powered summaries and action items using on-device machine learning
• Stores all recordings, transcripts, and summaries in an encrypted, local SQLCipher database
• Auto-deletes recordings based on configurable time windows
• Provides export functionality for recordings, transcripts, and summaries (Pro)
• Offers PIN and biometric lock for the app vault

All AI processing, transcription, and summarization occur entirely on your device. MeetVault does not transmit your recording content to any external server.

3. Account Registration

MeetVault does not require account registration. There is no sign-up, login, or personal profile. The App is tied to your Android device and Google Play account for purchase verification only.

4. Free Tier and Pro Upgrade

Free Tier: The free version of MeetVault allows up to 5 stored recordings with 7-day auto-delete, on-device transcription, AI summaries, and PIN lock. Free users see advertisements served by Google AdMob.

Pro — Lifetime ($4.99): A one-time in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited recordings, custom auto-delete windows (7/30/90 days or disabled), export functionality, ad-free experience, biometric unlock, and all future Pro features. This is a non-recurring, one-time payment.

Pro — Annual ($1.99/year): A recurring annual subscription that provides the same Pro features as Lifetime. Renews automatically via Google Play each year unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

Billing: All purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. We do not handle or store any payment information.

Refunds: Refund requests for in-app purchases are primarily handled by Google Play. We will honour refund requests submitted within 48 hours of purchase if the feature is materially defective. Contact us at support@cryptonstudio.app for a refund review.

Subscription cancellation: You may cancel your Pro Annual subscription at any time through the Google Play Subscriptions page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time.

Price changes: We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Changes do not affect your current subscription period or Lifetime purchases.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use MeetVault only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Record conversations without the knowledge and consent of all parties, where required by applicable law (e.g., two-party consent laws)
• Use the App to record content in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App (except as permitted by law)
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the App, including encryption or authentication mechanisms
• Attempt to bypass the Pro paywall through unauthorised means
• Use the App to record confidential information you are not legally entitled to capture
• Distribute modified versions of the App or create derivative works without written permission

Important — Recording Consent: You are solely responsible for ensuring you have appropriate consent from all meeting participants before recording. Laws governing call and meeting recording vary by jurisdiction. Crypton Studio is not liable for any recording made in violation of applicable consent laws.

6. Microphone Access

MeetVault requires microphone access to provide its core recording functionality. You grant this permission explicitly when prompted by Android. Microphone access is active only when you have actively initiated a recording session. The App does not listen to or record audio in the background outside of an active recording session.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its source code, design, graphics, logos, brand assets, and all associated content, is the intellectual property of Crypton Studio and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on your personal Android device(s) in accordance with these Terms.

This licence does not include the right to: sell, resell, or sublicense the App; use the App's name or branding for commercial purposes without written consent; create derivative works based on the App.

Your recordings, transcripts, and summaries created using the App remain your property. You retain all rights to your own meeting content.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

MeetVault is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Guarantees that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure at all times
• Guarantees of transcription or summary accuracy — AI models can and do make errors
• Guarantees that on-device AI models will be available on all Android devices

Transcription and AI summaries are generated by machine learning models and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Do not rely solely on AI-generated summaries for critical decisions without reviewing the source recording or transcript.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Crypton Studio shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of data, profits, business, or goodwill arising from your use of the App
• Damages arising from inaccurate transcriptions or AI summaries
• Legal consequences arising from recording conversations without proper consent
• Data loss caused by device failure, uninstallation, or OS-level data wipes
• Damages arising from device compromise or hardware failures that bypass the App's security

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Third-Party Services

The App integrates third-party services including Google AdMob, Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config), Google ML Kit, and Google Play Billing. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms, harms other users, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Uninstalling permanently removes all locally stored recording data from your device.

12. Updates and Changes

We may release updates to the App from time to time via Google Play. Some updates may be required to continue using certain features, particularly those dependent on on-device AI model versions. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time.

We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or Google Play release notes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in India.
